African American Heritage Tour of North Dallas │ Saturday, October 20, 2018 │ 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Come and join us to be enlightened to the major contributions that former slaves and their descendants have made in the North Dallas area. You will visit privately owned former slave cemeteries, early African-American communities, a museum and see the vast farmlands that they once owned and managed. Guest speakers and actors will join us at various sites along the way making this the most unique tour experience. You won't want to miss this inclusive tour experience. All cultures and generations are welcome to experience this great event.
Please arrive by 9:00 A.M. The charter bus departs promptly at 9:30 A.M. We will have a lunch break and you will have the opportunity to purchase a lunch or you may bring your lunch with you.
Back by Public and Popular Demand ......A 2ND ENCORE TOUR!!!----Of Historical Freedman towns and the oldest black communities in the metroplex area are explored. This tour will include but not limited to African-American historical homes, businesses, cemeteries, churches, and current and former Freedman towns! All Ethnic groups are welcomed! We will stop for a 30-minute lunch break. You may purchase or bring a lunch or snack for the tour. Bring your tickets with you. The bus will depart promptly at 10:00 A.M. Please arrive by 9:30 A.M.
